Aaron Lawrence: News
American Cancer Society Luminaria - July 16, 2008
Aaron played the American Cancer Society's Luminaria event on July 15th at Cavenaugh Park in Woodland Park, Colorado. The event was quite touching, as there were many bags placed around the field with each representing a person who fought and lost, fought and won, or is currently fighting cancer. Many people were walking the field for 12 solid hours to raise public awareness of cancer. Aaron played as each name that was represented by a bag was read. The night was very windy, and in order for Aaron to play, the young people from the American Legionaires held a tarp all around him on three sides during the entire performance. Wow, what a great bunch, and what an incredibly touching event! Aaron was extremely honored to be asked to do this event.
